weddings, branding, and personal life
This family is so special to me! Kassie and I became friends once we both moved to Quantico as Marine Corps spouses and she has been my business confidant ever since. The story of how we told one another that we were pregnant is pretty funny…
Nicole and Eric have very busy schedules…naturally, considering he is a neonatologist and she is a social worker that works with mothers and families of premature babies. Scheduling their engagement session was difficult due to COVID-19 restrictions and the threat of rain, but we made it happen just in the nick of time, and it was SO worth it!
Katlin and Chris deserved this engagement session. After everything was seemingly stacked against them (rescheduling from COVID-19, to their original venue cancelling on us last minute, to delays in dresses arriving, and rain on the day of their engagement session…), the rain cleared, clouds parted, and oh man, did the sun come to play!
Samantha and Anthony were rock stars at sunrise on what threatened to be a rainy morning. Instead, we celebrated their love Old Town Alexandria style, walking down side streets and reminiscing on their engagement story!
Although Lauren and Kenny were originally supposed to get the iconic Washington, D.C. cherry blossom session, they were so easy-going when I suggested doing their session in a Walgreens parking lot due to COVID-19 and all the restrictions placed on the nation’s capital!
During a short excursion down to South Carolina, my friend and I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful bridal session in the streets of Downtown Charleston. We visited Rainbow Row, the Pineapple Fountain, and the Battery before venturing off to some side streets to grab a few creative shots!
Heather…Zach…Charleston…Rainbow Row…put these together, and you get a photographer’s DREAM! More of their true love and anniversary session on the blog!
Samantha, owner of Styled for Elegance, decided to get in front of the camera with her husband, Alex (can you believe I have known him since we were in elementary school?!), this past fall season with a sunrise hike to Great Falls! It made for a beautiful portrait backdrop!
These two are so special to me. Kayleigh and John are the first couple that really took a chance on me as a photographer. Not only have I grown in my skill as a photographer since their first session, but our friendship has grown as well!
It is almost impossible to determine the top ten images from 2019…but it is possible to find images that encapsulate the top ten lessons that I have learned in 2019.
