weddings, branding, and personal life
Although Lauren and Kenny were originally supposed to get the iconic Washington, D.C. cherry blossom session, they were so easy-going when I suggested doing their session in a Walgreens parking lot due to COVID-19 and all the restrictions placed on the nation’s capital!
During a short excursion down to South Carolina, my friend and I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful bridal session in the streets of Downtown Charleston. We visited Rainbow Row, the Pineapple Fountain, and the Battery before venturing off to some side streets to grab a few creative shots!
While our story may seem carefree now, it wasn’t always. We ventured through many obstacles in order to have the family we had today. Those obstacles weighed on us physically, emotionally, and mentally. As we navigate being on the “other” side of infertility, I hope this post can help those navigating the road we were on not long ago.
While Gina and Michael are from different states, they met in DC. Wanting to commemorate this special chapter in their story appropriately, we ventured into the city to capture the cherry blossoms and the Lincoln Memorial.
COVID-19 is a force to be reckoned with. It’s wreaked havoc on the events industry and 2020 brides and grooms, in particular! Read to find my reaction to COVID-19, which is slightly different than most.
Heather…Zach…Charleston…Rainbow Row…put these together, and you get a photographer’s DREAM! More of their true love and anniversary session on the blog!
Be Your Brand is a branding program geared towards wedding professionals in the DMV area. Each session takes place at a local venue in the area, and we will work together to showcase your talents, client experience, and what makes you YOU so that you can attract your ideal client. This month we were at The Barn at Willow Brook in Leesburg, VA!
Samantha, owner of Styled for Elegance, decided to get in front of the camera with her husband, Alex (can you believe I have known him since we were in elementary school?!), this past fall season with a sunrise hike to Great Falls! It made for a beautiful portrait backdrop!
These two are so special to me. Kayleigh and John are the first couple that really took a chance on me as a photographer. Not only have I grown in my skill as a photographer since their first session, but our friendship has grown as well!
Emily and Jake remind me so much of me and Caleb when we got married—a couple that’s young and in love and doesn’t care what the Marine Corps can throw at them! They did a sunrise engagement on the beach and ugh, the light was beautiful!
