After working together for a wedding in the summer of 2019, I knew that Sally and I would be fast friends. She is a sweet soul that is always looking for ways to serve her clients and love on her friends.
Sally is more than a baker. She is an artist. Part of her client experience is sitting down over tea and sketching the vision they have for their wedding cake! Talk about a personalized experience! I loved looking through her sketchbook and seeing the evolution of the cakes she has made. Her creativity is evident in the artistry and personalized touches that each of her cakes has.
And you see all those flowers? She handmade those! Like I said…artist! Whether it’s a rose or a peony, she makes the most realistic sugar flowers I have ever seen. And they’re a perfect representation of the care and time she puts into each of her confection creations!
Remember when I mentioned she sits down with each of her clients over tea? Guess what? Her specialty cake flavor is Earl Grey…how unique! I can vouch for the deliciousness of this flavor and a few of her others. My all-time favorite is Boston Creme, which is what we had for our daughter’s birthday.
While planning her branding session we wanted to incorporate all the small details that went into Sally’s heartfelt client experience. When diving in, we determined that her sketchbook was crucial in that process, as well as her favorite tea set that completes the “tea & sketch” portion of the experience. We also photographed intricate details of her paints and paintbrushes while documenting the handcrafting sugar flower process. Finally, we wanted to show some of her final creations. The cake in particular she wanted to showcase was one that had a particular texturing technique. The final product was breathtaking!
