As a prior English teacher, I love telling each of my couple's love story. Each story is unique and in a culmination of love and a little planning, the wedding day brings that love to life in front of family and friends. As a lover of heirlooms and legacies, it's a joy to be alongside each of my couples as they create memories that will last forever for their children and grandchildren!

Nicolle + Josh | Manassas Battlefield Sunset Winter Engagement | Manassas, Virginia

Engagements

“You can’t date anybody that works here.”

Well, of course those words want to make you find somewhere there that you want to date! And that’s exactly what Nicolle and Josh did. They met while working at a Harley Davidson dealership when their boss told them dating one another wasn’t allowed. Now, four years later, they are getting married…and three other couples that once worked at the same shop are also together! It sounds like their old boss is just as much a matchmaker as he is a Harley dealer!

They have since gotten their big kid jobs and Nicolle now works in accounting and Josh works as a General Manager at a sheet metal company. They’ve already started their fur family with the cat, Penelope, and their pup, Rex. We bonded over the fact that we each have one white and one black pet…so no matter what we wear there’s always a trace of pet fur on it. But they were so prepared at their engagement session with a lint roller!

When we were determining a location for Nicolle & Josh’s engagement session, Nicolle just said…definitely outside! Originally, we really wanted a Christmas engagement session, complete with decorations, but unfortunately, it was rained out. When we finally got to have their session, we ventured to Manassas Battlefield, which is one of my favorite winter locations! The pretty little spot that I’ve found still retains some of its color even in the dead of winter. The sky is always open and blue, the tall grass is a light yellow, and there are even still some evergreen trees off in the distance. It really brings the cold winter to life.

While we were there, the wind picked up. But Nicolle was a trooper and let the wind billow through her beautiful dress, making for some epic images!

Their wedding countdown is in double digits, and I am so excited for them!
