This session certainly meant a lot to me. This sweet boy’s momma has been by my side since I was 18 years old. Oddly enough, we went to high school together and did not become close until right at graduation. I am so thankful that we not only stayed in touch, but became pretty much inseparable throughout college and beyond. This woman is the sister I never had!
She and her sweet baby boy Carter, who is seeming less and less baby-like each day (#ohmyheart), came down to visit me this summer, so we took the opportunity to explore the Riverwalk in Wilmington. Although we technically missed golden hour because we were eating some delicious seafood on the water, we still captured some beautiful photographs to document their trip to one of their favorite cities. In fact, it’s her goal to someday live in the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area, so if you know of any awesome event planning jobs for this sweet momma, give a girl a shout!
I don’t really remember what it was like to be two years old, but this session allowed me to see life through the eyes of a two-year-old, and man…it is good to be two! Oh, to have the fearlessness, the sense of adventure, the wide eyes, and the simplicity…what a wonder that would be! Enjoy these shots of this sweet boy and his momma, my best friend.
